Am I the only who wishes websites would give definitions for the jargon they use?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to create a sign-up page to start building an email list, but honestly, wading through all that terminology that is meaningless to me is enough to make a person throw up their hands in frustration. Why do site designers assume the user knows what things like “RSS feed” mean?

I can sort of figure out some things. Like domain. It’s my territory, right?

But what the heck am I supposed to do with the gibberish that appears when I click on “generate code?”

And when a function tells me I need “manager status” to perform a function, what does that mean? I’m the manager of my account, right? So why can’t I get past that page?

My apologies to anyone who’s waiting to sign-up to receive a notification when “Dust of Earth” is released. I’m working on it, I promise. But if you want, I can send you something via snail-mail. I know how to do THAT….
